A Doctor Who Fanfiction
Chapter Nine - Dinner At The Ponds"Boo," he came up behind me. I rolled my eyes and turned to look at him and was met with a peck on the lips, which actually surprised me.
"Hey!" I blushed. "Hmm?" he smirked. "What do you want, L.D.?" I demanded. "Oh... Yes," he moved on, "How would you like to have dinner at my place, again? My mom is joining us tonight and Dad told me to ask you over." "Oh... Well..." I shrugged, "I guess that would be fun... What time should I come over?" "Oh, don't be ridiculous," he waved away, "I'll come get you at a little past six... Be ready." "Alright," I nodded, "See you then?" "See you then, Ezibel Prince," he smiled, "See you then." •¥•¥•¥•¥•¥•¥• "Oh blimey," L.D. swallowed, once I'd opened the door at six, "You didn't have to get dressed up, Ezibel Prince." "My mom wouldn't let me leave the house without putting on a dress," I muttered, "Good Lord, I hate dresses." "You do?" he cocked his head to the side, "Good-bye, Mrs. Prince! I'll have her home later tonight!" "See to it that you do!" she called back, slamming the door behind us. "Anyway... You do?" L.D. questioned. "Well... Not really," I corrected, "I just hate it when I'm forced to wear them... Which is a lot." "And why is that?" he inquired, lacing our fingers together. "My mom's just that kind of person," I shrugged, "Anyway... We aren't having some weird concoction again, are we?" "No," L.D. shook his head, "Nan said she's going to make normal people food for once. I think she's trying to punish Dad for stealing her phone." "Why would he need her phone, anyway?" I demanded. "He wanted to make it's calling range wider," L.D. explained. "Oh," I considered. "Hey... Um... Ezzie," he rubbed the back of his neck, "What do you think of police boxes?" "They're nifty, I guess," I offered, "I've never actually seen a real one... Only pictures." "How would you like to?" he practically jumped with giddiness. "I would very much like that," I nodded. "Fantastic," he approved, "By the way... You never did get my dad's name last time, did you?" "Well... I heard Amy calling him Doctor," I remembered, "But other than that, no." "Oh, good. You did get it," he smiled, "Brilliant." "Wait... That's his actual name?" I doubted. "He goes by the Doctor," L.D. nodded, "Yeah..." "That's different," I muttered, "Why's that?" "He helps people all over the galaxy," L.D. shrugged, "He's pretty famous... And by people, I mean life forms." "What?" I demanded, confused. "I'm just introducing you to a... Highly unlikely idea, Ezzie," he explained, "Trust me, it'll make a lot more sense, later." |
